Premium Woven Aluminium EmberGuard
Premium Woven Aluminium EmberGuard is the finest woven aluminium gutter mesh we install. It's an ember guard mesh for bushfire-prone areas, with 2 mm holes that also shut out fine debris and pests.
If your place backs onto bushland, or ember protection is part of your bushfire planning, this is the mesh we'll usually point you to. It does the everyday work as well: leaves stay out, rain drains through, and birds and pests are kept off the roofline.
The mesh is 1 mm thick aluminium with our proprietary coating. It sits under our 25-year full system guarantee, which covers the mesh, clips, trims and screws, and the coating has its own 10-year guarantee against fading. We fit it under a 20-year workmanship guarantee, with our written 10-year no blocked gutter guarantee on top.

Made for Bushfire-Prone Areas
Plenty of SE QLD homes sit close to bush, and gutters full of dry leaves are exactly what you don't want there. EmberGuard works on that fuel load: the fine 2 mm weave keeps dry litter out of the gutter, so there's less for a stray ember to catch on.

Bushfire-Prone Areas and the Australian Standard
AS 3959:2018 is the standard that governs building in bushfire-prone areas. For gutter and valley guards it asks one thing: if you fit them, they must be non-combustible. Our aluminium mesh is non-combustible, so it meets that requirement at every Bushfire Attack Level, right through BAL-40 and Flame Zone.
Worth knowing, because a lot of people get told otherwise: ember guards for roof vents, eave gaps and fascia gaps are a separate requirement. From BAL-40 up, the standard calls for steel or bronze there, not aluminium. If your place is rated BAL-40 or Flame Zone, ask us and we'll tell you straight what our mesh does and doesn't cover.

A Tighter Screen for Birds and Pests
The 2 mm weave covers gutter guard, bird proofing and ember guard duty. Where expanded mesh keeps birds out of the gutter, EmberGuard closes things up tighter again, which helps when small pests have been finding their way into the roofline.
